What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach to health and well-being that encourages reconnecting with your body’s natural hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues. It moves away from restrictive dieting, calorie counting, and food rules, and instead focuses on fostering a healthy, balanced relationship with food, mind, and body.
Rather than labeling foods as “good” or “bad,” intuitive eating invites curiosity and self-compassion. It promotes body respect and empowers individuals to make choices based on internal signals—not external pressures or diet culture.
As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Amy can help you to explore your emotional connections to food, such as stress eating, guilt, or binge-restrict cycles. She will work with you to rebuild trust in your body, improve body imagae, and address co-occurring issues like anxiety, trauma, or perfectionism that may be influencing your relationship with food.
